It is with great sadness that Immodulon announces the passing of Professor John Grange, one of the founding members of Immodulon. John played a crucial role in establishing the company for which the entire Immodulon team will always be extremely grateful. His death is a huge loss to both the company and the scientific community as a whole, and he will be fondly remembered.
Professor Grange joined the Immodulon Board in 2007 and played a crucial role in establishing the company. He was an immunologist, epidemiologist, researcher, and academic and one of Europe’s leading tuberculosis specialists.
Professor Grange had a long and distinguished career including positions at Middlesex Hospital Medical School and the National Heart and Lung Institute, University of London, subsequently part of Imperial College School of Medicine. He was also an honorary consultant Microbiologist to the Royal Brompton NHS Trust. He is a past Editor of Tubercle, the International Journal of Tuberculosis. He retired early from Imperial College London to work as a Visiting Professor at the University College London Centre for Infectious Disease and International Health and for the British charity TB Alert.
